As we come to grips with the COVID-19 crisis, our community cannot lose sight of the related and equally grave crisis that continues to unfold – the climate and ecological crisis. Communities across the globe are called to develop a deeper understanding of the threats and consequences of climate inaction, envision and implement new ways of living, address climate and environmental injustice, and advocate for dramatic change. Otherwise, we stand little chance of “flattening the curve” of increasing emissions and environmental destruction.
Pacific Palisades is blessed with admirable civic, cultural, and religious institutions undergirding our communal life. By bringing together neighbors and local institutions to address climate change, ecological degradation, and environmental injustice, we can help to build a resilient future for the Palisades and for the city and parkland that surrounds us.
Resilient Palisades is a 501(c)(3) organization of Pacific Palisades neighbors committed to local, national, and global action to address the climate and ecological crisis.
